The QCT now have a pathways process to recognise prior assessment from pre-endorsed programs where teachers have demonstrated they already meet part or all of the descriptors of the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers (APST) at the Highly Accomplished or Lead teacher career stage.
The Certification Pathways – Guidelines for providers and applicants detail what is required of a pathway provider and teacher applicant to use pathway evidence towards a stage 1 certification application. Pathway programs must be endorsed by the QCT before they can contribute towards a certification application.
