Application for employment in all state schools is via the Department of Education.
Catholic schools generally advertise teaching positions in The Courier-Mail and regional newspapers. You can find general information on employment in the Catholic sector from the Queensland Catholic Education Commission.
Independent schools generally advertise teaching positions in The Courier-Mail and regional newspapers. You can find general information on employment in the independent sector from Independent Schools Queensland.
Every Queensland kindergarten service must be a member of one of five central governing bodies, who may be able to assist with employment
Long day care services approved to deliver kindergarten programs in Queensland may deliver teacher-led kindergarten programs. Each service usually advertises teaching positions in The Courier-Mail and regional newspapers.
You may also seek teaching positions at TAFE
A registered teacher can legally be employed to teach any year level in a school.
The school/employer ultimately decides specific subjects, grades or classes assigned to a registered teacher.
