Jane Morris has dedicated her career to creating inclusive educational opportunities for students from diverse backgrounds. As Dean of Boarding at Stuartholme School, Jane has redefined what a contemporary boarding program can achieve, fostering a culture that prioritises critical thinking, resilience, and student agency. Her leadership of various initiatives have resulted in impressive outcomes, including a 275 per cent increase in First Nations enrolments, supported by partnerships with the Cape York Leaders Program and the Australian Indigenous Education Foundation.
Jane's commitment to academic success and support for her colleagues is evident in the achievements of her 2024 Year 12 boarders, with 100 per cent attaining their Queensland Certificate of Education, 33 per cent earning an ATAR above 90, and all receiving university offers. Beyond academic outcomes, Jane has championed initiatives that strengthen community ties, such as regional tours and events like the Goondiwindi Sports Day to welcome rural families into the school community.
A mentor within the Australian Boarding Schools Association, Jane also supports emerging leaders in the sector, sharing her extensive knowledge and fostering professional growth.
