Provisional registration may be granted to new applicants, teachers from interstate and overseas, and sometimes teachers returning to teaching after a career break.

If you have not progressed to full registration at the end of four years of provisional registration you will need to reapply. This requires you to complete another application for registration.
The Australian Professional Standards for Teachers comprise seven Standards describing what teachers should know and be able to do. They are interconnected, interdependent and reflect the complex role of teaching. View the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers
